Check motor insulation resistance and IP55/IP56 integrity: test with a megohmmeter, inspect motor housing for moisture ingress, verify cable glands and terminal box seals are intact

Examine casing and inlet/outlet flanges for corrosion, paint delamination (verify C5-M coating condition per ISO 12944 for marine atmospheres) and structural integrity of 6mm plate casing

Inspect anti-vibration mounts and foundation bolts for looseness, corrosion, or rubber degradation — verify vibration levels against ISO 14694 baseline measurements

Check belt drives or direct couplings (where applicable): inspect for belt wear, tension, and alignment; verify coupling flexible elements are undamaged

Test ATEX certification integrity if fitted: verify earthing continuity, confirm no unapproved modifications have been made to hazardous-area components, check Ex labelling and certificate validity

Inspect casing access hatch operation, door seals, and internal surfaces for fouling or salt build-up — clean impeller to restore aerodynamic balance and prevent vibration

Verify fire-rated variants (HT/high-temperature): confirm thermal fuse/fusible link condition, test damper actuator response, and check that all fusible links and fire detection interfaces are within service life
