Inspect impeller blades for corrosion, erosion, pitting, and surface fouling caused by salt-laden marine air; clean and treat as needed

Check blade pitch angle (on adjustable-pitch models) and torque fasteners to manufacturer specification; verify no blade looseness or vibration signatures

Inspect all bearing housings for grease contamination, abnormal wear, overheating marks, and moisture ingress; re-grease or replace per maintenance schedule

Verify integrity of hot-dip galvanized drum casing and stainless steel fasteners (A2/A4); look for rust bleed, delamination of coating, or crevice corrosion at joints

Test swing-out mechanism (where fitted): confirm pivot hinges move freely, locking latches engage positively, and sealing gaskets on the duct joint are intact and uncompressed

Inspect motor insulation resistance (Megger test) and terminal box sealing (IP rating integrity), especially critical for ATEX-certified units (Exd IIC T4); check cable glands for tightness

Measure and record vibration levels at bearing housings against ISO 14694 / ISO 1940 baseline; investigate any step-change increase as potential imbalance or wear indicator

Verify correct rotation direction after any electrical maintenance; confirm airflow direction matches the designed supply or exhaust configuration before restarting in service
