Visual check of stainless steel outer casing for corrosion, cracks, deformations or pitting (especially at welds and inlet areas)

Inspection of inlet and outlet flanges as well as clamp/hose connections for tightness and secure fit (exhaust leaks can create CO hazard inside the vessel)

Inspection of the internal damping insert (baffle/ASR spiral core) for deposits, coking, corrosion or mechanical damage from thermal shocks

Check of the Salisbury non-return valve (flapper) for free movement, tightness and wear; for tunable variants: functional check of the anti-surge valve (PN#10900)

Measurement of back pressure in the exhaust system for comparison with manufacturer limit values as an indicator of internal blockage or deposit formation

Visual inspection of the transom installation area for water or exhaust backflow traces and check of the mounting hardware (bolts, brackets) for tightness and corrosion

Inspection of the high-gloss finish for discoloration or staining as an indicator of unusually high exhaust temperatures or faulty cooling
