Inspect seawater/condenser water inlet strainer and heat exchanger tube bundle for biofouling, scale, and corrosion; clean per manufacturer interval

Check refrigerant charge, look for oil contamination, and verify absence of leaks at fittings, valve stems, and brazed joints using electronic leak detector

Verify operation of oil separator, oil reservoir level (critical for pitch/roll marine version), and oil heater function before startup

Inspect and test accelerometers (marine VZ units) that trigger EEXV control during vessel pitch/roll; confirm correct alarm and control response

Check evaporator and condenser water flow rates, inlet/outlet temperatures, and pressure drops against design values; clean strainers

Test safety and control devices: high/low refrigerant pressure cutouts, chilled water flow switch, motor overload relays, and anti-freeze protection

Inspect structural mounts, anti-vibration isolators, and pipe flexible connections for corrosion and mechanical integrity in the marine environment

Verify electrical panel condition: check terminal tightness, insulation resistance, inverter/VFD drive status and fault logs, and confirm earthing/bonding to ship's structure
