Check oil level and oil quality; replace oil and oil filter per manufacturer schedule (typically every 1–2 years or after 10,000–20,000 operating hours)

Inspect and test suction and discharge valves for wear, damage, leakage, or carbon deposits; replace valve plates and seats as required

Verify motor winding insulation resistance and check electrical connections, contactors, and motor protection (overload relays, PTC sensors, IQ module)

Monitor and record suction/discharge pressures and temperatures against design parameters; verify superheat and subcooling values

Inspect shaft seal (open-drive models) for refrigerant and oil leaks; replace seal elements at recommended intervals

Check crankcase heater operation to ensure oil temperature is above dew point before compressor start; verify heater resistance

Inspect and tighten all pipe connections, flanges, and mounting bolts; check vibration isolators and flexible connections for deterioration

Verify capacity control system operation (VARISTEP solenoid valves, unloaders, or variable speed drive); check for correct part-load staging and step activation
