Technical data from manufacturer or class sources · not yet verified by a person

VIKING Norsafe GES-40 MKII — Freefall lifeboat - Totally enclosed emergency evacuation for ships and offshore installations. As a Freefall Lifeboat, it is normally installed at an assigned embarkation and free-fall launching station with its approved release, securing and recovery arrangements. In that role, its primary purpose is to provide protected emergency evacuation of crew or passengers from the vessel or offshore installation. A free-fall lifeboat differs from conventionally davit-launched craft because it enters the water by gravity along a dedicated launch path, making seating, restraints, release and hull structure especially important. For exact ratings, dimensions, settings, capacities, materials and variant-specific limits, refer to the manufacturer documentation for the exact figure.

Free of charge — send us your request for VIKING equipment. Our team checks it and replies by e-mail.

Makers and authorised dealers rarely quote marine equipment without the vessel. With these details we can check availability and prices faster; without them we may have to ask first, which can cost a few days. If you cannot share the vessel, a photo of the equipment’s rating plate does the same job — attach it below or send it as a reply to our confirmation e-mail.
