Ship crews, engineers, and operators depend on reliable fire detection systems to ensure the safety of everyone on board. Hochiki offers the ATJ-EA Fixed Temperature / Rate of Rise heat sensor, designed for environments where dust, cooking fumes, or other factors might interfere with smoke sensors. This sensor accurately measures temperature and sends data to the fire alarm control panel. The ATJ-EA features a low profile, simple addressing method, and utilizes the noise immune Digital Communication Protocol (DCP) for fast response to fires. It incorporates a highly linear thermistor circuit protected by a cover that allows maximum airflow. The sensor's adjustable threshold temperature ranges from 135°F to 190°F, and the rate of rise threshold is 15°F/Min, both configurable by the control panel. The ATJ-EA is UL Listed, with a maximum spacing of 70 feet and can be mounted to an electronics-free base with a locking mechanism for security. Dual LEDs provide easy viewing of sensor status. The sensor operates on 24-41 VDC, with a standby current of 350µA and an alarm current of 500µA.
