In marine environments where high heat output fires are a concern, fixed temperature heat detectors can provide essential property protection. These detectors are designed for areas where ambient conditions might make other detection methods unsuitable. The DFE 135 / DFE 190 fixed temperature heat detectors offer a choice of 135°F or 190°F activation temperatures. UL Listed for ceiling spacing up to 50 feet by 50 feet (2,500 square feet), these detectors feature a self-restoring mechanism and a heat detection element protected by a built-in guard. Electrical contacts are rated at 100 mA and are normally open. The detectors use a bi-metallic disc that deflects when the predetermined temperature is reached, triggering an alarm condition. Multiple base options are available for installation flexibility. Hochiki America Corporation recommends electronic supervision by a UL listed alarm panel and notes that these detectors are not suitable for life safety protection, as smoke detectors should be used in such applications.

Free of charge — send us your request for Hochiki equipment. Our team checks it and replies by e-mail.

Makers and authorised dealers rarely quote marine equipment without the vessel. With these details we can check availability and prices faster; without them we may have to ask first, which can cost a few days. If you cannot share the vessel, a photo of the equipment’s rating plate does the same job — send it as a reply to our confirmation e-mail.

Frequently asked

Three things people ask first.

Is this model's data free?

Yes. Specifications, documents and service notes for this model are readable without an account. An account adds saved searches and requests, nothing is taken away.

Can you find a part for this exact model?

Yes. Tell us the manufacturer, the model and what you need — a person reads every request and replies by e-mail.

The specifications look wrong — what now?

Send us the nameplate or the correct value. We check it against the manufacturer datasheet or class-society record and update the page.
