The Autronica V-430-S is the sounder version of the AutroGuard V-430 multicriteria protector, which pairs MultiAngle/MultiWavelength optical smoke sensing with rate of rise heat sensing. In the ordering matrix, type S marks an integrated sounder that needs AutroSafe system software from 4.11.2 onward, and S-VADW or S-VADR add a white or red visual alarm device. The sounder is EN 54-3 approved, with a maximum output of 93 dBA at 1 m, and for Tone 1 the low-volume setting gives 85 dBA. Sounder current is 6.25 mA at high volume and 2.63 mA at low volume, including 120 microamps for protector and base.
Sixteen standard tone types are available with AutroSafe and 3 with Autroprime. Sounder-equipped variants lack UL-268, UL-464 and ULC-525 certification. The protector base accepts 10 V to 26 V; with an add-on board such as the sounder mounted, the accepted range is 18 V to 26 V. Variants with integrated alarm devices need AutroSafe 4.11.3 or newer. Operation can be set to Multi, Heat only or Smoke only, and six heat response categories are certified to EN 54-5. Category C is listed at 55 C and 80 C with static response between 84 C and 100 C, and it excludes smoke detection.
Autroprime supports only category A1S. The optional SelfVerify function tests the signal path every 24 hours. Listed EN 54 approvals are EN 54-5:2017, EN 54-7:2018, EN 54-29:2015 and EN 54-17:2005 for the base isolator, and M variants carry MED B marine approval. Ingress protection is IP44D, or IP55 with a conduit box, and operating temperature is -30 to +70 C, up to +80 C in heat-only configuration. The worked ordering example 116-V-430-S-VADW/CD/M stands for a marine certified unit with Cover Detection, sounder and white VAD.
