Inspection checklist

  • Verify rudder angle indication accuracy against actual rudder position at several angles, both ways
  • Test changeover between the duplicated SAB10 units and confirm the standby unit takes over cleanly
  • Check power supply output voltage against the nameplate rating
  • Inspect the enclosure and terminals for moisture ingress or corrosion
  • Confirm the alarm on loss of one channel actually annunciates at the bridge
  • Check cable glands and cable terminations for tightness and corrosion
