Veth Propulsion Z-Drive 2200kW is a Z-type azimuth thruster rated at 2200 kW with a listed thrust of 154 kN. Power enters at the top of the unit and passes through two right-angle gear stages to the propeller in the lower unit, which can be rotated for steering. It is mounted through the hull at the stern or bow and provides propulsion and manoeuvring in one unit.
