AIS-SART 100

AIS-SART · EPIRB / SART

Class-certified type (DNV register) · technical data sheet not yet verified

The Navico AIS-SART 100 is an AIS search-and-rescue transmitter. It is normally installed with survival craft or GMDSS equipment for emergency deployment. It is designed for localization of survival craft/persons by creating an AIS search-and-rescue target. The operating principle relies on transmission of AIS position/identity messages for display on compatible receivers. Compared with neighbouring models, the relevant differences are battery, antenna, mounting/deployment method and exact message implementation; these must be confirmed from the installed documentation rather than inferred from the model designation alone. Service and survey attention should concentrate on battery validity, self-test, antenna/casing, deployment accessories and crew familiarity. For exact ratings, dimensions, tolerances, test limits and model-specific settings, refer to the manufacturer documentation for the exact figure.

Service notes.

What our service work and the manufacturer documentation say about keeping this model running.

Check battery/service expiry, approved self-test, casing, antenna, activation arrangement and identification/registration. Verify mounting, lanyard, pole or hydrostatic-release arrangement where applicable and ensure deployment is unobstructed. Do not generate a live distress transmission during routine inspection unless an authorized test procedure specifically requires it.

Spare parts notes

Internal repair is normally an authorized-service task. Carry only manufacturer-approved external mounting, lanyard, bracket, pole or hydrostatic-release parts where shipboard replacement is permitted, and schedule battery/service replacement before expiry.

Makers and authorised dealers rarely quote marine equipment without the vessel. With these details we can check availability and prices faster; without them we may have to ask first, which can cost a few days. If you cannot share the vessel, a photo of the equipment’s rating plate does the same job — send it as a reply to our confirmation e-mail.
