Foam Extinguisher · Portable Fire Extinguishers
Kidde / Badger Kidde Foam 12kg — Portable Fire Extinguishers. As a Foam Extinguisher, it is normally installed at designated fire points in accommodation, machinery, galley, deck or technical spaces according to the vessel fire-control plan. In that role, its primary purpose is to provide immediate first-response firefighting with the extinguishing medium identified by the listed extinguisher type. Dry powder, CO2, foam and water-mist extinguishers suit different fire hazards, so the medium and placement must match the approved vessel fire plan. For exact ratings, dimensions, settings, capacities, materials and variant-specific limits, refer to the manufacturer documentation for the exact figure.
What our service work and the manufacturer documentation say about keeping this model running.
Inspect location, accessibility, bracket, safety seal, hose or horn, pressure or weight indication as applicable, corrosion and service status. Confirm the extinguisher type still matches the local fire risk and approved fire plan. Do not discharge solely for routine checking unless the approved procedure requires it. Refer to manufacturer and statutory documentation for the exact figure for charge, inspection and replacement criteria.
Maintain complete approved replacement extinguishers and manufacturer-supported hoses, horns, brackets, pins and seals; recharge and pressure-vessel service should follow certified procedures.
