CO2 Extinguisher · Portable Fire Extinguishers
It is normally installed at marked fire stations in accommodation, machinery, galley and deck areas according to the vessel fire-control plan. Its primary duty is to provide immediate first-aid firefighting using an extinguishing medium suitable for the local fire risk. In service it interfaces with wall/bracket stowage, inspection tags and the vessel's fire-control plan rather than fixed piping.
