The 8L27/38A is equipped with a high-efficiency MAN TCR constant-pressure turbocharger system, ensuring optimal performance and fuel economy. Despite its production having ended, the 8L27/38A remains in service worldwide, with limited new deliveries still possible from MAN Energy Solutions. The engine meets IMO Tier II emission standards and can comply with Tier III when equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR).
