This equipment database is free to use. We maintain it, but the most accurate information sits with the people who work with these machines every day — on board, in the workshop, in the spare parts store.

Two ways
Contribute a photograph
Standing next to the machine, you take a better picture in four seconds than can be found anywhere. One condition: your own photographs only. We may not publish manufacturer photos or images from datasheets.
Correct a figure
Weight, dimensions, power, voltage: one value off the nameplate or datasheet closes a gap nobody else will. Adding evidence speeds up the review.

How review works
- Nothing goes live unreviewed. Every contribution is looked at by hand.
- Photographs are re-encoded on upload, which strips EXIF data including the location where the picture was taken.
- Contributors are credited by name on request. Image credits
- Signed-in users may submit 20 contributions per day.
Contributing requires an account — free of charge, and it means we can reach someone if a question about licensing comes up.
