Schwerpunkt: After a reflection process involving companies, stakeholders and intitutions involved in the Basque maritime sector, the FMV was established at the end of 1997 in order to respond to the needs of the sector and to prioritise maritime interests. The FMV was established with the misión of being a non-profit organisation that represents the Basque maritime sector with the aim, on the one hand, of driving competitiveness and sustainable growth of the companies of the sector by means of the cooperation and, on the other hand, of fostering the maritime culture. The FMV aspires to be known for driving the leadership of the Basque maritime industry in Europe and in the World, by means of its products and the talent of its employees, along with helping its companies to be international, innovative, excellent and socially and environmetally responsible.
