Davit Winch · Davits
Certificate MEDB0000BWT, a DNV SE Marine Equipment Directive certificate issued on 2026-02-03 and valid until 2031-02-02, covers the NPT/DW110S winch of Jiangyin Neptune Marine Appliance Co., Ltd (China). DNV lists the product type as winches for survival craft and rescue boats: davit launched lifeboats, and the entry is marked as IMO approved. Such winches handle the fall wire that lowers and hoists the lifeboat on its davit.
Winches of this kind are typically installed with a lifeboat davit on deck to lower the lifeboat for launching and to hoist it back after drills and inspections.
