PSS Series SCBA
Dräger (Drägerwerk AG, Lübeck, founded 1889) is the world market leader for self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) with an estimated 40–50% market share in the marine sector. SOLAS requires at least 2 SCBA per ship; on tankers and passenger ships more. The PSS series (Pneumatic Safety System) is installed on practically every European commercial ship. Dräger also supplies gas detection equipment and emergency escape breathing devices (EEBD).
