Inflatable Life Raft (SOLAS-A) · Life Rafts
Seago Ltd SOLAS 'A' Cylinder - 8 Man — Offshore sailing on coded vessels, commercial maritime. As an Inflatable Life Raft (SOLAS-A), it is normally installed in an approved deck cradle, container or davit-launching position where it remains accessible for abandonment. In that role, its primary purpose is to provide inflatable buoyant survival accommodation after emergency evacuation. SOLAS-A and davit-launched variants differ in emergency pack and deployment arrangement, while the sealed raft itself requires certified periodic service rather than routine onboard internal maintenance. For exact ratings, dimensions, settings, capacities, materials and variant-specific limits, refer to the manufacturer documentation for the exact figure.
What our service work and the manufacturer documentation say about keeping this model running.
Inspect container condition, securing, painter arrangement, hydrostatic release where fitted, markings and accessibility. Do not open a sealed raft outside an approved service station unless the applicable procedure permits it. Verify service status and certificate records. Refer to manufacturer and statutory documentation for the exact figure for servicing, pressure and pack requirements.
Onboard support normally consists of approved securing and release hardware; internal raft spares and inflation-system servicing should be handled by an authorized service station.
