The SCHOTTEL TwinPropeller belongs to the class of marine propulsion systems. This model, the STP 190, is designed for vessels or applications with limited installation space, draught or propeller clearance. It operates on the principle of the proven SRP, providing both thrust and 360-degree maneuvering power through its two co-rotating propellers. Distributing the load over two propellers boosts the system's efficiency while minimizing noise and vibration levels both underwater and on board. The STP 190 is particularly well-suited for applications with limited propeller diameter and features numerous installation variants. Its design also ensures minimal maintenance effort and long-term availability of spare parts as an OEM product. SCHOTTEL offers the option of equipping the STP 190 with either the LeaCon or DuroVario system. The LeaCon system is a DNV-certified sealing system that reliably protects against contamination of seawater by operating materials. The DuroVario system allows for fully integrated clutches, optimally adapted to the propulsion properties of the respective propulsion system, providing an above-average service life.
