Screw pumps are a versatile category of displacement pumps used across various industrial applications. The Leistritz L4MG is a twin-screw, double-volute, self-priming pump designed for medium-pressure applications. These pumps are engineered to handle aggressive and abrasive fluids, as well as lubricated and non-lubricated materials with viscosities up to 150,000 centistokes. The L4MG can achieve a maximum capacity of 3,900 cubic meters per hour (589,100 barrels per day) and can operate under a differential pressure of up to 40 bar (580 psi). The pump's operational temperature range extends up to 350°C (662°F), making it suitable for high-temperature applications. Available configurations include cased pumps with replaceable inserts, flange-mounted options according to DIN or ANSI standards, and welded versions with customizable flange arrangements and heating systems. Additionally, the L4MG supports both single-acting and double-acting mechanical seals, as well as cartridge seals, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Stainless steel versions and external heating options are also available, enhancing the pump's versatility for a wide range of industrial processes.
