EnergoFlow 4m
The Wärtsilä EnergoFlow 4m is a fixed stern-flow conditioning device. It is normally installed in the stern region around the propeller inflow. It is designed for improvement of hull-wake and propeller interaction. In operation, fixed hydrodynamic elements redirect and condition the flow entering the propeller. The supplied entry states the source description as “EnergoFlow”; this information is retained unchanged. Compared with neighbouring models, the relevant differences are device size, geometry, hull attachment and vessel-specific installation; these must be confirmed from the installed documentation rather than inferred from the model designation alone. Service and survey attention should concentrate on attachments, fins/plates, coating, fouling, deformation, impact damage and propeller clearances. For exact ratings, dimensions, tolerances, test limits and model-specific settings, refer to the manufacturer documentation for the exact figure.

Service & Maintenance
Inspect the device during dry-docking or underwater survey for cracks, deformation, corrosion, cavitation/erosion, fouling and attachment condition. Check moving pivots, bearings or linkages where applicable and compare geometry/clearances with the vessel-specific approved drawings. Investigate new propulsion or steering vibration following contact or repair.
