ECDIS E5024i

Tokyo Keiki ECDIS E5024i is a marine navigation radar. It is normally installed on the bridge with a scanner or antenna above deck and processor, display and control equipment in the navigation console. Its primary purpose is to detect and track vessels, coastline, navigation marks and weather returns for collision avoidance and navigation. Unlike AIS, radar detects reflecting targets independently and therefore remains useful even when another vessel transmits no identity data. The supplied record already contains the available concise model or rating information, so those existing figures are not duplicated here and no additional meaning is inferred from the model code. For exact ratings, dimensions, settings, capacities, materials and variant-specific limits, refer to the manufacturer documentation for the exact figure.

Common failures & inspection points

Scanner-drive or bearing faults cause irregular antenna rotation, mechanical noise or loss of radar picture
Transmitter or solid-state RF-stage deterioration reduces detection range and produces weak echoes or transmitter alarms
Waveguide, RF cable or connector moisture causes attenuation, unstable performance or intermittent faults
Display, processor or network faults cause frozen images, loss of controls or missing radar presentation
Heading, speed or position-input faults distort stabilization, target vectors or overlays and generate sensor alarms

Service & Maintenance

Inspect scanner, pedestal, seals, RF path, display, processor, cooling and power supplies. Verify heading and speed inputs, tuning or automatic optimization, target tracking and alignment using approved checks. Review alarms and event logs. Refer to manufacturer documentation for the exact figure for transmitter tests, alignment and performance limits.
