ES-5100
Tokyo Keiki ES-5100 is a marine speed-log system. It is normally installed on the bridge with underwater sensor equipment in the hull and display or processing units in the navigation console. Its primary purpose is to measure vessel speed for navigation, collision avoidance and other bridge systems. Compared with GNSS-derived speed, a dedicated log measures speed from its own hull-mounted sensor principle and may provide water-referenced or ground-referenced information depending on the installed technology.
